PURPOSE: The Afterschool Programme exists to meet the needs of parents/guardians and children, in the community during the school year from Monday to Friday, 3:30pm to 6:00pm.
SERVICES: Primary school-aged children are exposed to a variety of sport and recreational activities that will contribute to their physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth and development. There are 11 afterschool programmes in Government school facilities that provide the following activities: recreation and sports, drama, dance, arts and crafts, outings, multicultural events. Registration takes place on a first-come, first-served basis, June through August. A voucher must be presented to register and they can be purchased from the General Post Office and sub-offices. To be eligible for registration parents must be up-to-date with any existing payments.

PURPOSE: Open Airways aims to improve the health and well-being of over 9,000 people living in Bermuda whose lives are affected by asthma and other long-term breathing difficulties. Open Airways is the only registered charity in Bermuda with qualified health care professionals, who have specialised in respiratory care. Open Airways is the lead agency for asthma for the Department of Health’s Well Bermuda: A National Health Promotion Strategy.

PURPOSE: To reduce the risk of child sexual abuse and to be an advocate and voice for children who have been sexually molested.
SERVICES: We provide a certified training program to the community called D2L Stewards of Children, which teaches adults how to recognize, prevent and react responsibly to the issue of child sexual abuse • We provide our SAFE (SCARS Arms Families Through Education) programme to organizations entrusted with the care of children. This SAFE programme provides a “tool box” of information, which includes information on the statistics of child sexual abuse, important information parents should know and teach their children, inappropriate behaviors to watch for, warning signs, the characteristics of a sex offender.
